Rhododendron prunifolium

The Plumleaf Azalea is a semi-evergreen woody shrub in the Ericaceae family. This plant likes
part shade and prefers acidic soil, as many things in the blueberry family do. Unlike blueberries, all parts of this plant are highly toxic to humans and pets. Showy orange, pink, red, or white flowers appear in late summer. Plumleaf Azalea supports Andrena cornelli, a specialized bee.
