Boltonia asteroides

False Aster is a fall-blooming perennial in the Asteraceae family. White daisy-like petals,
sometimes with pale pink or purple streaks, surround the bright yellow center. The leaves are
evergreen, and a silvery green, lanceolate, and opposite. It thrives in full sun, but will also handle part shade. Over time it will slowly become larger, and sometimes will flop over in particularly wet areas, so staking is recommended. False Aster makes a great specimen or border, and does well in wetland gardens.
